Northern Telecom offers two families of digital telephone sets for use with all Norstar systems. The M-Series represents the original Norstar telephone design, while the T-Series is the newer generation with a refined appearance and enhanced ergonomics. Both series are fully compatible with the Norstar 3x8, 6x16, CICS, and ICS systems.  M-Series Digital Telephones The M-Series telephones feature a distinctive design and are the original Norstar telephone family. All M-Series sets connect via a single pair of digital wires and derive power directly from the Norstar KSU. M7100  1 line · no display User Card v2 Single-line entry-level set with no display. Features the standard Norstar dial pad with volume keys. Ideal for basic extensions, common areas, and low-traffic locations. Power is supplied entirely from the KSU over the station cable. M7208  8 programmable buttons · 2-line display User Card v2   Quick Ref 8-button set with a 2-line alphanumeric display. Compact footprint suitable for most desk use. Includes dedicated Rls, Feature, and Hold keys in the distinctive Norstar red. Available in charcoal or almond. The built-in side label card lists the most common feature codes. M7310  10+10 programmable buttons · 2-line display User Card v2   Quick Ref   User Guide 10 programmable line/feature buttons plus 10 dual-LED indicator buttons and a 2-line display. The indicator buttons provide at-a-glance status for up to 10 extensions or lines. A popular choice for receptionists and busy multi-line users. M7324  24 programmable buttons · 2-line display User Card v2   Quick Ref 24-button attendant and operator set with a large 2-line display and three soft/display keys. The top-of-line M-Series model. Accepts optional CAP (Central Answering Position) and DSS (Direct Station Select) add-on modules for expanded coverage.   M-Series Programming Template:   View button layout template (PNG)  — Use when recording programmed button assignments.  T-Series Digital Telephones The T-Series is the next generation of Norstar digital telephones, featuring a contemporary charcoal design, improved handset ergonomics, and a refined button layout. T-Series sets are fully compatible with all Norstar KSU platforms and are the recommended choice for new installations. T7100  1 line · no display User Card v2 Entry-level single-line set with no display. T-Series equivalent of the M7100, in the updated charcoal styling with ergonomic handset. Suitable for basic extensions and common areas. T7208  8 programmable buttons · 2-line display User Card v3 8-button set with a 2-line display. Compact and cost-effective general-purpose telephone in the T-Series styling. The most common desk telephone for standard office users. T7316  16 programmable buttons · 2-line display User Card v3 16-button set with a 2-line display. The full-featured workhorse of the T-Series. Three soft/display keys below the display allow context-sensitive one-press access to features. Popular for managerial and supervisor positions. T7316e  16 programmable buttons · larger display User Card v2 Enhanced T7316 with a larger 2-line display, dedicated headset port, and improved navigation controls. The top-of-line T-Series model for power users and attendants. Fully backward-compatible with all Norstar KSU platforms. Cordless T7406  6 programmable buttons · 2-line display · cordless User Card v3 Cordless digital telephone with 6 programmable buttons and a 2-line display. Operates on DECT wireless technology for interference-free operation. Requires a Norstar Companion base station and operates on the same Norstar feature set as corded sets.   T-Series Programming Template:   View button layout template (PNG)  — Use when recording programmed button assignments.   Compatibility Note: All M-Series and T-Series digital telephones are fully interchangeable on the same Norstar system. A single installation may mix M-Series and T-Series sets without restriction.
